Join us for a vibrant Day 2 of Africa Week with Print Day and Paint & Sip! Start the afternoon by proudly showcasing your traditional African wear on Print Day. We’ll gather in front of Schwarzman at 3:30 PM for group photos, capturing the beauty and diversity of our cultures in vibrant prints.
Then, as the evening unfolds, transition to a relaxed and creative atmosphere at our Paint & Sip event in the Founders Room, AfAm House. From 6 PM to 8 PM, indulge in a roundtable discussion exploring identity, culture, and experiences while enjoying light refreshments. Paint supplies will be provided—just bring your creative spirit!

Join us on November 12th, 2024, for YASA SPEAKS (Sharing Perspectives, Experiences & Knowledge), a student speaker series that provides a platform dedicated to African focused presentations and discussions - these range from identity, humanitarianism, healthcare 🏥, education📚 , politics..you name it!
This year, we will begin with a networking session from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm, where students can mingle with World Fellows as well as faculty interested in Africa and African affairs 🌍, after which we will listen to the wonderful presentations from fellow students.

Brought to you by Chriss and Friends, in collaboration with YASA, SoH will be a live, tiny-desk, intimate music performance showcasing songs from different parts of the African continent 💟The songs will include Rwandan Soul, South African Traditional, Ghanaian Highlife, Jamaican Reggae, student artist originals, and more 🥰 Altogether, Sound of Home will spotlight Africa’s diverse musical traditions through time and space, telling the stories of their cultural and spiritual significance.
