Who We Are

The Yale African Students Association (YASA) is a cultural, social and political group of undergraduate students that welcomes all persons interested in Africa and African issues. YASA provides a community of friendship and intellectual discussions. YASA also promotes and represents the rich African culture on campus as well as providing a forum for discussion and action on current affairs.

Community

Hold multiple social events to enable the African community, and those interested, to congregate, network and grow their interpersonal relationships.

Culture

Execute multiple cultural and political events to allow all interested members of the Yale community to engage with pertinent issues on the continent.

Support

Provide the general membership with support in their academic, extracurricular, personal and professional experiences, both in a formal and informal capacity.

Yale Africa Week

Africa Week is an annual themed exposition focusing on a different topic of relevance to the continent each year.
